The Advanced Patella Strap helps treat and prevent patella tendon injuries, especially overuse injuries. It is ideal for Patellar tendonitis (Jumper's knee) and Osgood Schlatter disease. A compression tube places targeted pressure on the patella tendon to provide pain relief when running and jumping. In addition, moisture wicking, breathable material means it is both comfortable and highly supportive.
This specialist knee support has the following features:
Adjustable straps on both sides of the knee ensure a perfect fit as well as the ability to vary the compression and support.
The soft neoprene blend provides firm, even support. Neoprene retains body heat which aids the healing process, especially with chronic tendon injuries. Moisture wicking fabric prevents build-up of sweat, even when worn all day.
We recommend this knee support for the following injuries:
Patellar tendonitis (tendinopathy) or Jumper's knee is a chronic overuse injury causing pain at the front of the knee. Specifically, the very bottom of the patella.
This affects growing children and causes pain under the front of the knee. Specifically over the bony prominence at the top of the shin bone.
The support applies compression around the knee and specifically onto the patella tendon at the front of the knee. As a result, the way forces transmit through the patella tendon change.
The patella strap is worn around the knee, just below the patella. It applies compression to the tendon. As a result, the way forces transmit through the patella tendon change. Therefore, taking stress off the injured part of the tendon, relieving pain and allowing it to heal.
Wear it at all times when your knee is painful. Later it can be worn only when training or competition.
One size fits most – measures 10-22 inches (25-55cm)
