UMARA U Beta-Alanine 200g
U Beta-Alanine is an amino acid essential for maintaining Carnosine levels in the muscles, which in turn boosts your tolerance to lactic acid.
In our muscle cells, Beta-Alanine combines with Histidine to form Carnosine. While there's plenty of Histidine in the cells, Beta-Alanine is limited, making it the key factor. Supplementing with Beta-Alanine boosts the levels of Carnosine in the muscle cells. Carnosine helps buffer pH (hydrogen ions) and maintains a normal pH balance in the muscles. Supplementing Beta-Alanine increases Carnosine levels, enabling the cells to manage and neutralize the acid produced during intense exercise.
Research indicates that consuming between 150-200g distributed over 30-45 days (approximately 5g per day) is necessary to maximize Carnosine levels in the cells. Once you’ve achieved this, a maintenance dose of 3-5g per week is needed to keep the levels steady throughout the year. With this in mind, we offer 200g of U Beta Alanine in a jar, which is sufficient for optimal loading plus maintenance over a period.
After achieving full loading, just one dose of U Intend or one teaspoon of Beta-Alanine per week is enough to maintain levels year-round, ensuring you’re always ready for a great interval or threshold session.
