Posiziona un foglio di carta più grande del tuo piede contro il muro. Assicurati che il muro sia piatto e che, se c'è un battiscopa, anche questo sia piatto. 

Stai in piedi sul foglio con il tallone appoggiato al muro. Assicurati che il pavimento sia duro e che il foglio non scivoli sotto alcun spazio tra il pavimento e il muro/zoccolino.

Segna sul foglio con la matita il punto dove arriva il tuo dito più lungo. Ricorda di non infilare la matita sotto il dito, perché vuoi una misurazione massima accurata.

Misura la distanza dalla fine del foglio alla linea delle dita con un righello o un metro a nastro.

Ripeti con l'altro piede, potrebbero essere diversi – fidati di noi su questo! – e poi usa la misura più lunga.
