Most commonly sold energy supplements are high in calories and come in small amounts. Most of them focus on efficiently absorbing the ingredients needed for long-term exercise, such as amino acids, citric acid, caffeine, and magnesium. As exercise duration increases, physical fatigue can extend to the internal organs.
In particular, in endurance sports like triathlons and trail running, where frequent refueling is required, continuing to consume traditional energy supplements with stimulating flavors can be mentally distressing.
I have had the experience of struggling with refueling in the past few Ironman races I have participated in. I just can't get the food down my throat. I have to force myself to eat it, enduring the taste. Replenishing food towards the end of a race is especially painful. I want to make that pain a little easier.
To solve this problem, we developed a product based on the concept of
"simply delicious."
What does "iginari" mean?
A dialect word meaning "very," "extremely," or "extremely" in Miyagi Prefecture, the birthplace of the product developer (Reboot Style).
"Iginari"
IGINARI is a delicious energy food.
"Iginari" is a corrupted version of "ikinari" (suddenly), and can also be corrupted as "iginashi" or "iginasu." The key point is the voiced consonant mark.
"Iginari" is ranked 7th in the ranking of commonly used Miyagi dialects.
About the delicious ingredients
When we eat something delicious, brain chemicals such as dopamine and beta-endorphin are released. Dopamine is also known as the "happiness hormone" and makes us feel joy and a sense of reward. This chemical reaction elevates our mood and temporarily reduces stress. Beta-endorphin is also known as the "brain drug-like substance" and creates a state of euphoria, leading to repeated use addiction that makes us want to eat more. The only way to replenish energy during exercise is to eat.
The more challenging the situation, the more important it is to feel "delicious! I want to eat more!"
