On the Vanish Carbon the brand introduces a totally new midsole material EGO™ PRO. 33mm of a truly magical midsole material focused on resilience, propulsion, comfort and lightness. It is the highest performing midsole material of the brand, and it takes its rightful place in the Vanish Carbon.

After years of development the design of the carbon plate is unique to the brand. The shoe has 2/3-foot-length, three pronged, carbon fiber plate to strengthen the propulsion of the EGO™ PRO midsole. The forefoot is designed effectively to reduce weight and enhance the flexibility of running shoes.

Compared with other ALTRA shoes, Carbon Vanish's "rocker" position, the“Active Stance Rocker, is 65% of the length of the outsole away from the heel. This will greatly improve runners' fluency and exercise efficiency when running.
