iF International Forum Design, based in Hanover, Germany, is an independent design organisation with a history of more than 70 years, which each year selects outstanding designs and confers the "iF Design Award".
Together with the IDEA Award (USA) and the Red Dot Design Award (Germany) it is spoken of as one of the "world’s three major design awards". This year there were 11,000 entries from 66 countries and regions, and following rigorous judging by 131 design experts, the award was made.

Under the supervision of designer Takanori Urata, the "MICRO TORCH EDGE" was finished with a design and a quality of feel that satisfy the owner’s desire to possess it — beautiful form, texture, heft, feel and outstanding durability — setting a torch, an indispensable outdoor item, apart from existing products.

Zinc die-cast (zinc alloy), which is hard and has excellent impact resistance, is used for the body, making it an ultra-compact, powerful, wind-resistant burner that excels not only in looks but in practicality.
This torch is equipped with design and dependable functions that lend quality not only to outdoor scenes but to all sorts of everyday situations. Compatible with a variety of fuels
Starting with cassette gas, you can fill it with the fuel of your choice, such as lighter gas or OD canisters (*).
* Filling from an OD canister requires the fill adapter, sold separately.
Designed so that the heated nozzle does not make contact when the torch is set down on a table or similar.
Activated carbon built into the fuel tank
Activated carbon that adsorbs impurities in the fuel has been incorporated into the tank, giving a structure in which the tank valve is less prone to clogging.
Air intake positioned at the bottom of the body
It now draws air in through the strap hole and the gaps around the gas adjustment knob.
By moving the air intake to the position furthest from the nozzle, the risk of nozzle clogging caused by drawing in soot or vaporised wax at ignition is reduced.
Comes with a nozzle cap
Prevents dust and the like from getting inside the nozzle, reducing faults such as ignition failure.
