To keep feet cooler while running in hot weather, many people like to run in the thinnest socks available.Thin socks however provide little protection from frictional hot spots or blisters.

While running in hot weather, feet quickly get hot and perspire, causing wicking fiber socks to become wet.Moisture weakens the skin and significantly increases friction (stickiness) between socks and skin. Thehigher the friction, the hotter the feet and the greater the chance of getting blisters. Higher friction limitsskin surface movement but still allows inner tissue movement, causing a shearing effect. This physicallyseparates the two layers which fill with fluid, forming a blister.

To keep feet cooler in hot weather the patented Blister Guard®system uses FrictionFree®ePTFE fibers in the entire heel, forefoot, and toe areas of the Hot WeatherRunning socks. Additionally, mesh air panels and vents release heat and sweatvapors.

ePTFE (expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene) has the lowestCoefficient-of-Friction of any fiber, making it the best at keepingfriction low between the skin and sock. Paring ePTFE fibers withDrymax fibers provides the driest running sock possible.

3D Advanced Fit

Drymax's sock sizes fit because they were developed on special 3D shaped foot models. Each size sock includes a colour size mark for easy match-up after laundering.

Anti-blister System

CENTURION REVIEW/ WHY THIS PRODUCT?

Drymax stay impossibly dry despite the conditions. Their varying thicknesses' attribute as much to warmth as protection. The key with foot care is removing either moisture, heat or friction. Blisters are avoided when any one of these three factors is removed. Drymax stay so dry that on pulling them out of the washing machine, they already feel almost completely dry to the touch. We've worn these socks on all terrain and in all conditions and quite simply nothing else comes close to the level of blister protection they offer. They are on the whole much cheaper than other competing brands, money which in our opinion, is wasted. Wear these and you're unlikely to go back to anything else.
