A new concept tenugui towel specially designed for the outdoors
Throughout the year, they enjoy playing in the outdoors at the sea, in the mountains, and in the rivers.
"Outdoor Tenugui" is a new concept born from our experience.
It has four buttonholes that overturn the conventional wisdom of tenugui.
By adding a rubber loop , various arrangements are possible.
By using the elastic loop to tie and secure the tenugui in place, just like you would tie your hair in a bundle,
There is no need to worry about the knot coming undone or being blown away by the wind. The
tightness can also be adjusted.
○ As a basic style worn around the neck.
○ Wrap it around your head or forehead to keep sweat away, or wear it under a hat or helmet.
○ Wrap it around yourself like a mask to reduce sunburn and as a sign of mask etiquette for those around you.
Camping, mountain climbing, trail running (jogging), MTB, fishing, gardening, farm work and other outdoor sports,
It's also great for outdoor festivals, which have been gaining popularity in recent years, with music and food events!
It is perfect for all outdoor activities.
◆ 4 buttonholes.
You can change the position of the elastic loop or use it as a spare in case the buttonhole gets torn.
For example, you can change the position of the elastic loop depending on whether you are right-handed or left-handed.
◆ Both ends are finished with a serger stitch.
Frayed threads will not get tangled in the zippers of your outerwear or gear such as your backpack.
Another benefit is that it reduces the amount of small debris such as lint that gets produced.
◆ Coloring that can be used in two colors depending on how you wrap it.
The design is made using the "chusen" dyeing method, so you can use it without worrying about the front or back.
What is Chusen?
"Chū-sen" is a traditional Japanese method of dyeing tenugui cloths.
Rather than printing on the fabric, the yarn itself is dyed by artisans.
It features delicate blurring, bleeding, and beautiful gradations that cannot be expressed in print.
Chusen dyeing retains the soft feel of tenugui, and dries quickly without impairing breathability.
This is the perfect dyeing method for Japan, which is hot and humid.
*This is a dyeing method that does not "color-fix," so color fading is inevitable.
(It's similar to denim or indigo dyeing.)
We recommend hand washing the product alone for the first 2-3 washes.
Because the dyeing process does not use a color-fixing agent, the color becomes your own as you use the fabric.
They have been popular since the Meiji period as stylish tenugui towels that change over time.
Nowadays, that culture and craftsmen are being lost.
We hope that you will learn at least a little about this culture that is being lost.
*If the elastic loop breaks or is lost, you can use a commercially available hair tie as a substitute.
Please use the elastic loop of your choice in color, length, and thickness.

◆ CLEAN OUTDOORS
"The more field players there are, the cleaner the field will be."
This activity is based on the concept of "One-Hand Clean," and proposes a simple trash collection activity that you can do yourself without any effort when visiting outdoor areas such as the sea, mountains, and rivers.
By showing gratitude for the natural environment in which we play, we can cleanse our minds and our fields.
The CLEAN OUTDOORS project aims to create an icon for field players who can empathize with these feelings and actions.
CLEAN OUTDOORS Initiative
◇ "One-Hand Clean": A proposal to pick up trash that can be picked up with one hand
◇ Regular hashtag campaigns on Instagram
Hashtag: #cleanoutdoors #cleanoutdoors
◇A portion of our sales will support the Mitake Cup Executive Committee (Ome River Clean Marathon) and the National River Garbage Network.
*The reason for our support is
that approximately 80% of the garbage that ends up in the ocean comes from our daily lives and flows down rivers.
It is difficult to collect garbage that has already ended up in the ocean, but by stopping it before it flows into the river and collecting garbage in the river, the amount of garbage that ends up in the ocean can be reduced.
We support these activities because we sympathize with them.
■Mitake Cup Executive Committee (Ome River Clean Marathon) *A total of about 7
tons of river trash was picked up ! Rafting x River Clean is a new proposal for trash picking that brings smiles to the faces of participants. https://mitakecup.org/riverclean
■ River Garbage Network Activities *They hold seminars in various locations on the issue of trash seen from the river and share information on cleaning activities being carried out in various locations. https://kawagomi.jp/
