Its vest-style perforated shoulder straps, supple hip fins, 2-way adjustable sternum strap and deuter LiteAir back system combine to create good ventilation and a snug, compact fit. Handy pockets on the shoulder straps and hip fins, plus quick-release pole attachments, provide fast on-the-move access without having to take off the pack.
Its lightweight construction, lightweight materials, LiteAir back system and pared down features set combine to make the new Speed Lite Pro even lighter than its predecessors. This featherweight backpack weighs in at just 680 grams (Speed Lite Pro 25) und 740 grams (Speed Lite Pro 28 SL). Which means you can put more energy into the trail and less into carrying the load.
Wide, ergonomically shaped shoulder straps with full ventilation, supple hip fins, and a precision-adjustable, lightly elasticated sternum strap create a snug fit with zero load wobble and distribute the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders. This minimizes strain on the shoulders and therefore also on the back.
Pockets on the shoulder straps and hip fins have space for a bottle, energy bars, a cell phone or GPS device. Quick-release bungee draw cords on the shoulder straps provide fast on-the-move access to poles without having to take the pack off. So you don’t have to break stride.
This model is also available in the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the Deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
