The deuter Airstripes back system with reduced contact surface and ergonomic shoulder straps ensure the Yort has maximum comfort and maximum airflow. Its components have been made using environmentally friendly, resource-efficient manufacturing practices and the body fabric is 50% recycled.
SUSTAINABLE: 50 % of the yarn is used from recycled raw materials. The main material of the consists of bluesign® certified material.

This bluesign® product has body fabric made from 50% recycled materials. With components made using environmentally friendly, resource-efficient manufacturing practices, it meets the Green Button standard and is PFAS free. And as a ClimatePartner certified product, it also takes a clear stand on sustainability.
Our unique Airstripes System takes care of that and offers effective ventilation. It consists of two contoured, air-channelled foam profiles that are covered with a highly breathable Wide AirMesh lining. The reduced contact surface results in an optimized fresh air circulation. Also, the pack’s load is kept close to the body and thus won’t throw the rider off balance.
THE RESULT:
The minimal contact surface area of the profiled Airstripes allows free air circulation over 80 % of the back, while still providing a secure, compact fit.
This deuter product was manufactured by us without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless to health and environmentally friendly.
Consumer products that carry the bluesign® product label conform to the strict safety and environmental requirements of the bluesign® system criteria. The textiles and accessories used to manufacture the products with the bluesign® approved label are produced in a way that saves valuable resources and has a minimum impact on people and the environment.
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainable textiles. Everyone who aims to purchase socially and environmentally sustainable clothes should look out for the Green Button. There is currently no other label like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards are met to protect people and the environment.
