Materials
600D PES TPU
Our tried and tested, tear and abrasion resistant polyester fabric is 100% waterproof thanks to its PU coating, and extremely robust. Traditionally derived from tarpaulin material, it is ideal for duffel bags, backpack bottoms such as our Waldfuchs 14 or other areas that endure extreme mechanical stress.
- > D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
- > PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
- > PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
- > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
- > BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.
Green Button certified product

But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
