Its lightweight construction, lightweight materials, LiteAir back system and pared down features set combine to make the new Speed Lite Pro even lighter than its predecessors. This featherweight backpack weighs in at just 680 grams (Speed Lite Pro 25) und 740 grams (Speed Lite Pro 28 SL). Which means you can put more energy into the trail and less into carrying the load.
Wide, ergonomically shaped shoulder straps with full ventilation, supple hip fins, and a precision-adjustable, lightly elasticated sternum strap create a snug fit with zero load wobble and distribute the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders. This minimizes strain on the shoulders and therefore also on the back.
Pockets on the shoulder straps and hip fins have space for a bottle, energy bars, a cell phone or GPS device. Quick-release bungee draw cords on the shoulder straps provide fast on-the-move access to poles without having to take the pack off. So you don’t have to break stride.
The LiteAir back system now has a lightweight, specially molded back panel with a complex ventilation framework and channels that keep air flowing across the back, plus a reinforced structure to help transfer the load. Its flat-format construction creates a body-hugging fit and offers good flexibility for maximum range of movement across a range of terrain types. Thanks to its special construction and removable back panel, the LiteAir back system is one of the lightest in its class.
This deuter product was manufactured by us without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless to health and environmentally friendly.
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainable textiles. Everyone who aims to purchase socially and environmentally sustainable clothes should look out for the Green Button. There is currently no other label like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards are met to protect people and the environment. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
