EXPED Carrying System
For a lightly loaded day pack, determining the exact back length is not absolutely crucial. With trekking or mountaineering backpacks, however, it is essential, as only a perfect fit will efficiently transfer the weight to the hips. With heavy loads or backpacks featuring an internal carrying system, the centre of the hip wings should ideally rest on the iliac crest and the rear pad on the sacrum.
How do you measure back length?
To determine the back length, use a tape measure to measure the distance between the base of the shoulders or the level of the 7th cervical vertebra (which you can feel protruding where the neck meets the spine) and the upper edge of the iliac crest.

Ich mag diese faltbaren Trail-Stühle sehr. Dieses Mal habe ich 2 gekauft, zusätzlich zu den 4 anderen, die ich zu Hause habe. Ich benutze sie, um mich bei Hausarbeiten hinzusetzen, besonders bei Arbeiten in Bodennähe, bei der Gartenarbeit (beim Schneiden der unteren Äste) und um im Park bei der Outdoor-Fotografie zu sitzen, besonders wenn ich auf Vögel warte. Dadurch muss ich nicht mehr so lange hocken, was für meine Knie und Beine nicht gut ist, je älter ich werde.
I like these foldable trail chairs very much. I bought 2 this time round in addition 4 others at home. I used it to sit down to do chores at home especially at low level, gardening (trimming lower branches) and sitting in the park for outdoor photography especially waiting for birds. This reduces the need to squat for long periods of time which is not good for my knees and legs as I grow older.
